LIOS Alumni

After you graduate, you are invited and strongly encouraged to remain a member of the LIOS community. We consider everyone who has studied at LIOS—in the Master of Arts degree program, leadership certificate programs, or continuing education workshops, seminars and classes—to be an alumnus/a of Leadership Institute of Seattle.

In order for you to receive all the benefits of membership in the LIOS community, you need to keep your contact information current in the Alumni Directory, in order to send you important information, publications and referral requests. If you prefer to phone in new information, please call 425.968.3400. Otherwise you can update your information here.

Stay involved with LIOS!

We keep in close communication with our alumni to let you know about your fellow graduates’ accomplishments; current Institute news, educational and employment opportunities and special events; and opportunities for you to contribute your knowledge and experience in articles and other forms to LIOS’s publications. We help you stay in contact with your colleagues and also keep your contact data up to date so as to provide referral recommendations on request.

As an alum, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Network, socialize and learn. Attend LIOS special events including Wise Questions: A Forum for Conversation & Community, Book Club, Leadership Breakfasts, reunions, and parties. Check the LIOS Calendar for current events.
  • Teach, write, mentor. Share your knowledge and experience by presenting workshops and writing articles, planning events and serving on planning committees.
  • Read and contribute. Read Linkage, LIOS's biannual professional journal, and Items of Interest, our electronic newsletter both in publications. Share your learning through articles, books, book reviews, poetry and photographs. Send in announcements about workshops, conferences, books and jobs you would like to recommend to your colleagues. To submit material for our publications, contact us.
  • Continue your education. Access Professional Leadership Training for professional development opportunities.
  • Read. Stay abreast of published advances in your field; enjoy access to the current Master of Arts degree program reading lists.
  • Support. We encourage our alumni to help LIOS financially and in other ways so that the Institute can continue to provide the kind of leadership education that changes the world for the better. Learn about ways you can support LIOS.

IMPORTANT BULLETIN:

The Institute offers a Master of Arts degree in Applied Behavioral Science with two professional tracks from which students may choose: Psychology: Systems Counseling and Organizational Systems: Leadership and Organization Development. The theories, principles and approaches associated with Applied Behavioral Science are the foundation of graduate education at the Institute.

Therapists and organizational consultants and coaches who work in the state of Washington possess a variety of degrees and areas of specialization. In order to inform prospective clients and employers of the academic specialization in which Leadership Institute graduates have achieved proficiency, it is suggested that Applied Behavioral Science, always be spelled out for clarity, following the degree designation of M.A.

Example: John Smith, M.A., Applied Behavioral Science
